A New Version of Orpheus

Once Upon a time there was a wise man soaring through the woods. He was playing some beautiful music,his name was Orpheus. While he was playing his beautiful music he saw a crack in a tree as it became to open.Orpheus kept playing and the tree became to crack more and more each time. Then suddenly a girl appeared!Orpheus still kept playing then he stopped and started saying,"I've played to make the mighty waters and made them calm. I've seen terrible things and beautiful things but you happen to be the most beautiful thing I have seen yet.What is your name?", he continued.The young lady said," Eurydice."Then as the ladies of Orpheus town started dancing Eurydice went to the woods and saw a man. The man tried to grab her but she ran away. As she ran a snake bit her and she died. Orpheus picked her up and took her to the town. He said that they will burn her and there will be no more music ever again. Orpheus went to the underworld to reclaim his love for his wife but Hades did not let him. Then Hades wife begged to let Eurydice go and he said,Very well but if you look back to see if she's there she will return to me forever."Just as they were about to enter the real world Orpheus looked back and she disappeared forever. Then he sat alone breaking his lier but the women got tired of it and cut him into pieces and he died.

Julius Caesar

Julius Caesar was a very important person to many people here are some reasons why. First, because many romans wanted a strong leader and they thought that Julius had that quality. Also because he was ambitious and he was an obvious choice. Julius Caesar sought the office of consul in 60 BC. He returned from Spain where he became a governor.Another reason why he was important was because he was a great leader and every Roman thought so to. He also convinced the consuls to make him a third consul. They soon became the First Triumvirate. Those were some reasons of why Julius Caesar was a very important man and leader.

My favorite Greek Thinker

The Greek thinker I chose to write about was Homer. Homer composed two of the most important works of greek literature. He wrote The Odyssey and The Iliad. Some people beleive that he was a blind bard person. The stories that he has written are so fascinating and interesting. I have read both of the books. My favorite would have to be The Odyssey because it has to do with so many epic adventures. Also because it has to do with greeks most noble heroes in history. The Iliad was great to it tells the story of a war between Troy and the Greeks. As one can see that is why Homer is my favorite Greek thinker.

Hector

I believe that Hector did the wrong thing because he was killed. If he had negotiated with Achilles thn he wouldn't have died . On the other hand he was really brave but still violence is never the answer. I think the real reason that Hector fought Achilles was because he did not want to think that he wasn't good enough to fight him. Also because maybe he realized his hopelessness,causes,and flees. Another reason might be because Athena tried to encourage him to fight with Achilles. She did that by disguising herself as his ally Deiphobus.I would not have done the same thing that Hector did because like I said violence is never the answer. Also because I would have tried to talk Achilles not to try to fight with me or in this case Hector.That us why I think that Hector did the wrong thing.

The Myth of Osiris

It all started when a hill rose up out of the waters. It was called Ben-Ben.In this hill there was a man standing his name was Atum the first god in the world.How fascinating is that? He coughed out two people their names were Shu the god of the air and Tefnut the godess of moisture. Together they had two babies .Their names were Nut and Geb. Nut and Geb together had four babies .Their names were Osiris,Seth,Isis,Nephthys.Osiris was the king and Isis was the Queen.Osiris was a good king he ruled the earth for many years. But one day Seth got really jeolous of Osiris and he grew angrier and angrier.Until one day he killed Osiris. Osiris then was sent down to the underworld and Seth stayed up on earth and became king. After that Seth and Isis had a baby named Horus. Horus battled his father Seth and won. Only then was he king of earth. Also Osiris became king of the Underworld. Then after Seth was killed the world was in peace ones again having Horus take his fathers footsteps. As a result Osiris never saw his wife.But on the other hand he would have still became king whether he died or not. Isis on the other hand lived happily ever after with her son Horus. People should wonder if Osiris and Seth met each other in the Underworld. People should also wonder if Horus got himself a wife and some or one kid. People should wonder these things. Anyway that is the death and myth of Osiris.
